It is expected that the tourists visiting VTR will observe decorum and respect the tranquility and sereneness of nature.
PARK RULE
Desirable:
- Wild animal sightings are matter of chance, be patient and enjoy the wilderness of forests.
- Total silence and discipline enhances the chance of animal sighting.
- If anyone sights any wildlife don’t shout just indicate others by hand.
- Dress in colours that blend with the natural environment. Khakis, brown and green outfits are the best suited for forests. Don’t wear colourful clothes
- Appreciate the colour and sounds of nature. Don’t use strong perfume.
- Trekkers are advised to use jungle boots to ensure safety.
- Carry drinking water.
- Give way to Animals first. When in a vehicle, remember wild animals have right of way.
- Carry a first aid kit with common medicines.
- Respect animal and their habitat.
- Take pictures, but without disturbing wildlife.
- Respect local customs.
- Keep a reasonable distance from wild animals, and do not provoke them.
- Dispose waste responsibly: carry back all non-biodegradable litter, and leave campsites litter-free before departing.
- Keep to the speed limit, don’t use the horn, and do not startle animals.
- Strictly follow the gate timing
- Obey the instructions of staff and guides.
Strictly Prohibited and don’ts:
- Do not talk loudly or play loud music.
- Don’t litter the surroundings.
- Beyond gate timing strictly not allowed.
- As per State Government Policy, Consuming alcohol or visiting VTR under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
- Don’t disturb or tease animals.
- Do not get out of the vehicle or approach wild animals.
- Do not approach animals closer than 15 m or disturb them while they are resting.
- Do not take away flora and fauna in the form of cuttings, seeds or roots.
- Do not feed wild animals.
- Do not stop the vehicle not more than 5 minutes in the reserve
- Do not light fires, or smoke inside protected areas. Accidental forest fires cause irreparable damage. Smoking and carrying inflammable materials is prohibited to avoid forest fire.
- Playing music and musical instrument is prohibited during trekking and safari visit.
- Carrying guns, fire arms, inflammable materials are strictly prohibited, as per the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, and is punishable by law.
- Carrying & consuming eatables while in forests is prohibited.
